Understanding the Lecturer Review process

October 16, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The LRC will host an information session on the comprehensive system Arts and Sciences has put in place to review its full-time language lecturers.

Angelina Craig-Flórez, Lening Liu, Shelley Saltzman, and Jutta Schmiers-Heller will speak to you about the review process in general and how to prepare for it. They will discuss the importance of having a well prepared dossier that showcases your skills and experiences, comment on the value and role of professional development, and answer any questions you may have. Margaret Edsall from the Office of the Vice President of Arts and Sciences will also be on hand to answer any relevant questions you may have about the review guidelines and explain any aspect of the process that may be unclear.

Please note our related event the following week where Sue Mendelssohn of the University Writing Center will host an in-depth workshop on how to craft a Statement of Teaching Philosophy. Space is limited and will be made available on a first-come, first-serve basis to the first 15 people who sign up. Please see the workshop event page for details and to register.
