The Language Resource Center AI Working Group meets regularly to discuss and analyze ongoing developments in gen-AI tools and how they shape our work as Columbia language faculty. We discuss critical frameworks for evaluating AI applications, policies regarding use and implementation of AI in language learning, how to enrich language classes with AI, and how AI affects each of the 4 skills differently (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
