Heritage Language Pedagogy Talk

On Wednesday, March 29th, the LRC will be hosting an in-person discussion on Heritage Language Pedagogy relating to Heritage language Education: Issues and Challenges.
In this talk, we will outline the current state of the field of heritage language education in US post-secondary institutions. After reflecting on some of the major issues that have been addressed in the research over the past 20 years or so, including defining heritage learners and identifying appropriate pedagogical strategies, the talk will touch on some of the current directions in the field. The lecture will end by discussing the challenges of developing or creating an HL program.
